On 17 February 2026 the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) received a rule change request from AEMO to amend the National Electricity Rules (NER). When the AEMC initiates this process, the AEMC will publish a Consultation Paper to facilitate stakeholder consultation on the request.
