The Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) has initiated a minor rule change to make minor corrections and non-material changes to the the National Gas Rules and Western Australian version of the National Gas Rules to improve their quality. As with previous AEMC initiated rules, these minor corrections and non-material changes make the rules clearer for stakeholders. 

The AEMC has decided to use an expedited process to consider this rule change proposal. Written requests to not use the expedited process must be lodged by 18 June 2026. Written submissions to the rule change proposal close on 2 July 2026.
