On 28 April 2026, the AEMC received a rule change request from Commonwealth Department of Climate Change, Environment, Energy and Water to amend the National Electricity Rules. The AEMC has not initiated this rule change request. When the AEMC initiates this process, it will publish a consultation paper to facilitate stakeholder consultation.
