The National Electricity Rules govern the operation of the National Electricity Market. The Rules have the force of law, and are made under the National Electricity Law.
Copies of the National Electricity Rules are available for inspection at the AEMC's office in Sydney. The National Electricity Law can be found at the South Australian Legislation website.
Available below is a copy of the National Electricity Rules as in force in the Northern Territory (NT NER).
The current consolidated version of the NT NER is Version 1. The NT NER is version 82 of the National Electricity Rules as amended by:
Note that version 83 of the National Electricity Rules contains changes made by the National Electricity Amendment (Application of Offsets in the Prudential Margin Calculation) Rule 2016 No. 8 and the National Electricity Amendment (Compensation Arrangements following application of an Administered Price Cap and Administered Floor Price) Rule 2016 No. 1.
These rules amend provisions that do not apply in the NT so a new version of the NT NER was not created to reflect versions 83 of the National Electricity Rules.
