The Australian Energy Market Commission is seeking input from people who have experience with, or are considering, moving off-grid.

The AEMC is the rule maker for Australian electricity and gas markets. We are undertaking a review looking at how to maintain appropriate consumer protections and service standards for consumers who are not connected to the electricity grid. These consumers get their power from stand-alone systems, for example a combination of solar PV, energy storage and a back up generator.
