Summary
The Enhancement to the Reliability and Emergency Reserve Trader (RERT) rule change request from the Australian Energy Market Operator seeks broad changes to the RERT framework. This rule change request is part of the Commission’s ongoing reliability work program which supports a system that provides reliable power at least cost to consumers.
Stakeholders are invited to join the AEMC and AEMO at a public workshop where:
- AEMO will discuss its views on the appropriateness of the reliability standard, i.e. the standard which guides the operation of the market, building on its views set out in the rule change request.
- the AEMC will discuss the options paper and gather feedback from participants
- all attendees will participate in roundtable discussions to continue to the conversation on the topics presented on the day.
The workshop will be held on Monday 12 November 2018 from 1.00pm – 4.00pm AEDT in Sydney (Rydges Sydney Central). An agenda is available below.
To register for the workshop please fill out your details in the online form at the end of this page by Friday 9 November 2018.
