The Broome Gas Pipeline is a transmission pipeline located in northern Western Australia. The pipeline is owned by Energy Developments (EDL) and is currently operated by OSD Asset Services. EDL intends to take over operations in the future.
The Broome Gas Pipeline is 12.2 km in length and 23 mm in width, and has a maximum capacity of 11.5 TJ/day. The pipeline is part of EDL’s West Kimberley Power Project. LNG produced by the Maitland LNG Facility is trucked to the Broome Fuel Storage Facility, where it is vaporised and delivered to the pipeline. The Broome Gas Pipeline then transports the gas to the Broome Power Station.
The Broome Gas Pipeline is currently a non-scheme pipeline system, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR.
