The Western Network Laterals are transmission laterals located in central Queensland.
The laterals are owned by Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG), which is a joint venture between Origin Energy, ConocoPhillips and Sinopec.
The Western Network Laterals are currently non-scheme lateral pipelines, and are subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR. On 26 February 2018, the AER granted a 5 year category 1 and category 2 exemption under Part 23 of the NGR for the Western Network Laterals.
