The pipeline is planned to be one of four high pressure gas pipelines which would form the Western High Pressure Gas Network (Western HPGN).
The Combabula Spur is 17 km in length.
The Combabula Spur Pipeline connects the Combabula gas plant facility to the Reedy Hub.
The Combabula Spur Line is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR. On 26 Feburary 2018, the AER granted a 5 year category 1 and category 2 exemption under Part 23 of the NGR for the Combabula Spur Line.
