WA: Midwest Pipeline and Mount Magnet Lateral Pipeline

The Mid West Pipeline and Mount Magnet Lateral Pipeline is a transmission pipeline located in mid-west Western Australia.

It is operated by the APA Group, which also has a 50 percent interest in the pipeline. The other 50 percent interest is held by Horizon Power.

The Mid West pipeline is 353 km in length and has a width of 203/178 mm, and a capacity of 20 TJ/day. It transports gas from the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP) near Geraldton to power generation for mining and minerals processing at Windimurra, and for supply to Mt Magnet.
The Mid West Pipeline is currently a non-scheme pipeline and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR. On 20 June 2023, the ERAWA granted a five-year Category 3 exemption under Part 23 to the Mid West Pipeline and Mount Magnet Lateral Pipeline.

The pipeline was commissioned in 1999.
