AEMC consults on rule change request from AEMO concerning a Small Generation Aggregator Framework

On 15 March 2012 the AEMC commenced the rule making process on a proposal by AEMO to add Small Generation Aggregators as a new category of market participant to the rules. This is intended to lower potential barriers to the participation of small generators in the National Electricity Market.
A consultation paper has been prepared by the staff of the AEMC to facilitate public consultation on this rule change proposal.
Submissions on the consultation paper close on 12 April 2012.
