Market Reviews: Completed

In accordance with clause 8.8.3(k) of the National Electricity Rules (Rules), the AEMC published the final report for the 2007 Annual Market Performance Review on 27 February 2008, after it was submitted by the Reliability Panel (Panel) to the AEMC in accordance with clause 8.8.3(j).

On 18 December 2007, the Panel gave notice that it had commenced its annual review of the performance of the National Electricity Market for the 2006-07 year. On the same day, the Panel also published its draft report entitled Annual Electricity Market Performance Review 2007.

In conducting this review, the Panel followed the established practice of annual reviews under clause 8.8.3 of the Rules. Both the notice and the draft report are available below.

As a part of the consultation process, the Panel sought comments and feedback on the draft report.

The Panel received a single submission from CitiPower and Powercor Australia in relation to the presentation of distribution network reliability statistics. The matter raised in the submission was addressed in the final report.

The draft report was presented at the NEM Forum on 13 December 2007. In accordance with the requirements under clause 8.8.3(f) of the Rules, interested parties were also given an opportunity to comment on the draft report at a meeting to be held in February 2008; however, no stakeholders registered an intention to attend this meeting.
